Anaïs co-founded Forward Movements in 2015. At the same time, she works with various Montreal arts organizations. Juggling her passions for dance and writing, she published her first book in 2022. Writing is her way of satisfying her insatiable desire to understand and dissect her inner worlds, as well as the one around her.

Alice is dedicated to writing, music and developing collective projects. She was introduced to street dance in 2016 and developed a deep attachment to the styles and practice of freestyle. She then began several years of mentoring in Boogaloo/Popping with dancers J. Style and Ford “The Mov3r”.
Asmina Thirunavukarasu

Asmina Thirunavukarasu is an Eelam Tamil dancer and multidisciplinary artist from Tiohtià:ke/Montréal, QC. She understands art as a form of self-love and self-determination, thanks to her training in dance and film. It’s by telling stories that she believes it is possible to have a better understanding of ourselves and in extent, of others. The search for understanding others, empathy and love are pillars to her artistic expression.
Mary-Lee Brunet

Whether as a multi-disciplinary artist or as a human being, Mary-Lee is constantly seeking to develop and evolve. For the past 6 years, she has paid particular attention to deepening her knowledge of street dance, specifically Hip-Hop, Popping and Strutting. Her attention to detail allows her to navigate brilliantly between the different styles she practices, while honoring the Afro-descendant heritage that gives them life. Along with her dancing skills, she nurtures a wide range of abilities such as filmmaking, event production, art project management and more.

A hip-hop dancer (specializing in popping) for 20 years, Romuald met Ford in 2009 during a trip to Montreal and the connection was immediate. He spent the next ten years developing his dance and event creation skills. He returned to Montreal in 2018 with this experience and joined Forward Movements and the Kairos organization in 2019. Dancer, choreographer, director and event organizer, he finds his place wonderfully in the team, with whom he shares the love of street dance and the desire to transmit.
LENSEY LAROSE
ACCOUNTING
A financial analyst at Bombardier since 2005 and an accounting student, Lensey has seen the company grow since its creation. Her desire to get more involved grew as she saw the impact that Forward Movements has on different communities. She is glad to support the work of this team that she admires.
